HAPPY FRIDAY!! Is it me or did this week drag!? So excited for a weekend full of Christmas related outings! Last night I went to a tree lighting celebration at church and I had the best time! I don’t know about you but everything is just better during Christmas time!
Speaking of, that brings us into today’s jolly blog post! If you’ve been following me awhile you KNOW I’m obsessed with all things Disneyland! I honestly try and go every week since I’m an annual passholder. My all time favorite time of year there is CHRISTMAS!!
Earlier this year I wrote a Disneyland Guide post all about the park + my tips and tricks to a full day of disney! I thought it would be fun to post some of my recommendations during Christmas time. This is SUCH an poplar time at Disneyland (for good reason). Nothing can compare to the decorations!!
With that being said, it does get crowed during the month of December! If you are planning a trip the best time to go is at the end of November or after December 25! A lot of people don’t know it is fully decorated from November 10 to January 6! My favorite time to go is end of November or beginning of December because the crowds are not as big and it gets you in the spirit of Christmas! Another tip is to visit during the week when most people are at work!
The most crucial thing you NEED to purchase is a MAX PASS! This is something that Disneyland started recently and boy is it amazing!! This pass allows you to get Fast Pass right from your phone! You’re able to get a new one about an hour later! I put this pass to the test two times now and it did not disappoint! Both times I went with groups and we were able to get on rides back to back with only a 5-10 minute wait!! It’s only $10 a person and will help you get through the park without waiting hours in line!
I think I mentioned this in my last post but just remember to download the Disney app because it helps you view wait times and that is where your MAX PASS will be as well!
P.S. Another great part of MAX PASS is that you’re able to get all the professional photo’s you take throughout the park! This is the BEST because you don’t have to lug your big DSL camera around all day!!
Speaking of photos… This is always so important to me anytime I go to Disneyland! I love to document all the memories I made with the people I went with!! The best time to take photo’s is sunset!! That is when you will have evening lighting and achieve the most beautiful looking photo’s.
Make sure you plan out the day and leave about an hour to take photo’s with family and friends in front of the various decorated attractions! The most popular places are the castle and the giant Christmas tree! Both these areas will get pretty crowded so just stay patient and wait in line! I love to get photo’s during the day and at night when everything is lit up so beautifully (more photo’s toward the end). Some other pretty spots are It’s A Small World, Toon Town, Main Street, and of course California Adventure!
When you visit Disneyland don’t forget to stop by California Adventure as well! It is so gorgeous this time of year and they do a great job at decorating Cars Land (my favorite spot in California Adventure). They’re also having something called the Festival of Holidays where they have amazing food all over the park!
Don’t forget to pick up fabulous looking and tasting treats while you’re there!! They have different items that are seasonal. My favorite place to get treats is Trolly Treats at the front of California Adventure! They have everything, including ice cream and Starbucks!!
We can’t forget the infamous Minnie Mouse ears can we!?? To be honest I stole these from my sister in law to take a photo! But how CUTE!?? They came out with these plaid ears last year and I just love them!! They also completely matched my look that day!! Linking my entire outfit down below!
I love to plan my looks around the holidays so Christmas is no exception! I wore my favorite feminine sneaks with a plaid peplum top and a black bell sleeve cardigan! Make sure you wear something comfy and cozy because the weather can get chilly here in California!
Lastly, I had to post some gorgeous photo’s of these lights!! How AMAZING!! I’m convinced they use fairy dust to get everything looking so perfect!! One of my favorite date nights is walking around at night with a coffee and looking at all the lights!
OH!! I almost forgot! The fireworks are a MUST SEE this time of year! Spoiler alert: It SNOWS!! This is a DREAM for people living in Southern California! Best of all the snow smells like cinnamon!! My favorite place to watch the fireworks is on Main Street because you have a view of the castle and the snow falls on Main Street!!
Please feel free to DM me if you have anymore questions! Love you all and have a great weekend!
